About this wiki

postquantum.wiki is a reference encyclopedia for post-quantum cryptography: the quantum threat to today's public-key systems, the standards replacing them, how the migration works in practice, and what it means for blockchains.

Editorial policy

  • Primary sources. Every entry cites primary sources: NIST publications, RFCs, peer-reviewed papers, and official project documentation. Claims that cannot be sourced are not published.
  • Honest uncertainty. Nobody knows when a cryptographically relevant quantum computer will exist. Entries state what is known, what is estimated, and what is disputed, and never dramatize timelines in either direction.
  • No financial content. The wiki contains no price, investment, or market commentary of any kind.
  • Labeled affiliations. The wiki is maintained by the team behind PQ Wallet, qID and BTXScan. Entries about those projects live in the Ecosystem category and carry a visible "Related project" label. They follow the same sourcing rules as everything else.

Corrections and updates

Every entry shows its last updated date and can be cited permanently by URL. If you find an error, a stale status claim, or a missing primary source, reach the maintainers through any of the project sites above and the entry will be reviewed.

Citing and reuse

Entries may be quoted and cited with attribution to postquantum.wiki and a link to the entry. Machine-readable feeds are available at /feed.xml and /feed.json, and an index for language models at /llms.txt.
